2020

We’re all suckers for watching movies with happy endings on rough nights to restore our faith in humanity and feel some good in the world, we want to let out built-up emotions into one outburst, we want to let go and let be without being judged, we want things to be a little bit easier on some days, and for some cosmic guidance to walk us through the nights without having to pay attention to the dark thoughts pushing their way through our minds.

This year has been an exception, this year has been anything but a cliché, this year has fallen nothing short on touching all of our lives deep in all corners, this year has made every quote relatable and has made a museum of memes that will last a lifetime that no other generation will relate to, remember 2020?
People responsible for writing history books will fade into their own candle-light nights writing endless stories, and history teachers will probably curse the day they chose this job after today.

It has not been an easy year, it has punched us all in the heart and has suffocated us both physically and emotionally.

But it has taught us a lot, and those teachings we are facing; they’re the accelerated lessons we’ve been craving to face ourselves with for years but never really had the time or place to be cornered with or had the chance to tear down to every bit and piece.

Whether you have learnt your boundaries this year, or built the resilience to carry on stronger, whether you have sat down and have listed your priorities in life and made clear life goals with set intentions, whether you have survived this year and have put a smile or two on others, it all counts and it all matters, and it’s all because you’ve been part of a global occasion united for the pure will to survive.

Carry on this will to help the world recover, and take it easy on yourself, we’re all lost and feeling indefinite; but life will carry on and so will you.

Pay it forward, and be the reason someone took a deep breath today and said “it was a good day despite it all.”
