28 doesn’t mean late

Within this year and couple of months of lockdown, my brain made more conversations with itself than any other human kind, it rolled over the carpets and started dusting out all the fears and triggers into one bed to sleep in, it made a rollercoaster out of engraved emotions and took a deep dive into the lake of “life-meaning scenarios”, This year did not make it easy for words to come out, as if it took the warnings of spitting to an extreme sport and banned words along the line.

What i mean to say is, each one of us has faced their angels and demons in this year and has danced around on fire more than they hoped they would, the walks down memory lane burnt our feet but made the roadway in our minds a much clearer one at its very end.

What i mean to say is, i came to realize the essential needs of my safety and fulfillment, the triggers to my fears and how to break free from my cages, i came to know that i am not too much or too little, and what i feel is valid and what i dislike is up to me to respond to and resolve, i came to realize that trust, transparency, and genuine care are the three gems and came to refuse boundary breakers or the smallest hints of disrespect.

What i mean to say is, i have turned 28 this year and it is not too late; for the common perceptions of where i stand in relationships or career or bodyweight or personality, there is no end line that i reach and win, life is a healthy metric of ongoing ups and downs and your consistency, discipline, strength and resilience are the ones keeping you close to that line every single day, and failing to reach that metric 100% does not make you any less of a person or value and does not associate with your worth or what you deserve.

What i mean to say is, our minds work on the concept of reward systems impatiently waiting to achieve the next big thing and move to the next nicer place and finish the next impressive milestone, this is all essential to our self-growth and to widening our horizons and mental capacity, but the real reward comes down to the little smiles we impulsively make when taking these good little sighs feeling all safe & settled while laying on a good old sofa winking at the magical irony of the universe.

And hey, 28 rhymes with so many other words than late..

so maybe let’s not get stuck on that one and take a test drive on fate and the great ones waiting!
