Dear future lover,

Image
Here are a few warnings before getting involved with me (which you will be): You should start getting comfortable with sleeping on the warm sides of the pillow, There’s enough heat coming from us, The cold side may not exist in our bed. The Cold War could have probably lasted a 100 years with your exes, Don’t expect that in our relationship, I will be throwing fueled bombs on you,  While running for scissors to diffuse them. Don’t let my small size fool you. You’ll be spending many nights awake; cleaning vomit, Well, word vomit that is.. I promise you that our conversations will last so long, The sun will be chasing after them instead.

Geeky love threads

It's quite strange, our desire to belong to people, to grab someone's heart and invite them for a swim in our myocardium and its pericardial cavity, have our hearts dance to the rhythms of our combined heart-beats and matching footsteps, have us create our own land, and dangle our feet on the walls of an everlasting well-nourished organ. How euphoric it is for us to imagine all parts of our bodies joined together in the acts of love, our souls floating together like a disformed ds DNA, each G dancing with a G instead of a C; forming a heart, having our chromosomes scream for more improper connections; only to have us broken at its very end. Love breaks normality, it loves destruction and chaos, deadly tides of emotions waiting for someone to ride them in order to drown on purpose. Love takes us off of our feet, shakes our whole world like protein shakes, and leaves us in a post-workout state, searching for a bed to rest in; So dear, Have a good workout, and try not ...

Refuel your potential.

I don’t believe beginnings are set on New-years, or even on birthdays. Beginnings are fueled every day, the moment we decide we’re in need of change to swim into our potential and to create new chapters to our stories.  What mostly scares us in life is when we swim with the tides, like ordinary fish, and forget about ourselves and others around us, we dwell on the scenarios happening in our heads, to the point, where when life gives us a “Steady, Ready, Go” sign, we feel our feet stuck to the grounds, looking backwards and imagining situations of failure, while we see others flying faster than the wind to the finish line, jumping happily on the same line we’re sadly stuck in.  This Olympic race that we’re dealing with every day, a race of reality and expectations, makes us sit on the benches thirsty for success, while others are thirsty for a power drink to speed up and keep the race going. We’d be wishing for a chance given by the coach, for the crowds to give us a cheer...

A run for the rescue

Image
Who do you think would run the extra mile for you? This piece of writing can be a bit confusing by the meanings it will portray, as I’m writing this with deep guarantees in my heart that nights can pass by faster and more beautifully if you believe that the sun will shine brighter in the morning, and that your will to live will dominate any other fraction. Through running around the clock doing to-do lists at the start of the day, and trying to omit as much as we can by sunset, through shaking the lists off with an outing or two, getting the most laughs we can until we go to bed again, there exists a few golden clips that keep us standing. It gets you jumping off of your seat running for the rescue of a close person, when you get the feels that they’re getting off the trail, the mere idea of them not being okay fires up this urge inside of you to help and get them going again. Here comes my two wonderings, would you run out of your way to rescue yourself when y...

Serene gaps in mental lobes

The clock runs faster when you’re enjoying someone’s company.   Try to remember the times you had your hands clapping like a penguin while your stomach was begging you to stop squeakily laughing, or the times you were so comfortable with someone that your curfew had you locked in for a week and you didn’t even give a shit about what troubles you’d be in.  Now, give it a thought, do you recognize that feeling? Do you finally feel your subconscious give your mind a rest? Yep, that’s it, that’s the feeling you should always have, the one where you’re so comfortable and you’re truly in touch with yourself, where time flies just to get you wanting more. That feeling of serenity filling your body, not having to push any feelings or reminders to mind, because it’s the holiday you’ve been waiting all year for. These kinds of memories get stuck on you, they’re the ones you felt mostly yourself in,  your body was full of adrenaline and  your mind was at peace...

Home in warzone

We’re talking again, innocently, resurfacing the love feelings of the past that only Nostalgia can care to explain. We share songs we know will make their day, and posts no one else would understand, there’s a bond that will never be broken, as much as it's bend. We both still don’t know if we’re good to each other, if we’re ever going to be, and if we’re ever going to hurt each other, we tiptoe with our emotions, knock on our common interests but never dare to walk in, it’s too soon maybe, we want to make sure it won’t hurt this time, that it’s just right, and it’s not the breaking point of that connection, we need the signals to stay alert so we can still believe there’s home somewhere, that there’s a place that would understand us without a single word, we need to feel hugged through re-blogging the same comfort lines over the same platforms.  It feels like a home in the middle of war, you see, you never know if you’re going to be safe, you never know if you should go back...

Off-guard interactions.

Do you ever come across an old photo and feel like your soul has been hugged at that very moment, you get the urge to pin that feeling and portrait the happiness, in case you felt the need to touch it on your off-days, and maybe hold on to at least one solid ground that has no variables of change.  Do you ever come across an old friend, and you feel like your old-self suddenly woke up to welcome them, with all the buried common phrases and giggly childish humor, like you're 15 again with no care for adult covers and acts of forced discipline, you project your bare-soul and don't give a damn about the stains it would carry.  Do you ever come across your old self, start to un-polish all societal edits in your head and get back to your natural comfort-zone, so you build an imaginary fort, braid your hair, put on a childhood nostalgic movie, and hide inside your safe place until the world stops spinning with its uncertainty anymore.
